18 April 2013

The TMG United team, comprising TMG employees who have volunteered to take part in VLN races at the Nürburgring, has successfully selected a driver after an exhaustive search.

An open recruitment process invited any potential driver, under the age of 28 and with suitable qualifications, to apply to drive the team's GT86 CS-V3 race car in selected VLN long-distance races this season, competing in the V3 category.

Over 100 applications were received and after personal interviews of the leading candidates, 21-year-old Moritz Oestreich, from Petersburg in Germany, was selected.

Team Manager Alexander Marnett, TMG's Senior Coordinator Freight, said: "Moritz gave a nice and very motivated impression. His technical understanding and serious approach make him the ideal choice to pilot the TMG GT86 CS-V3. He has experience of the Nordschleife and other race series where he has demonstrated his talent and ambition."
